Registration Fees and Related Expenses

REGISTRATION FEES AND RELATED EXPENSES

The costs associated with playing junior hockey in Ontario vary from league to league and team to team.  Individual teams establish various fees based on their own particular circumstances.

The Fergus Force Hockey Club Ltd. is incorporated in the province of Ontario and is a profit-based company.  As such, the company must provide a satisfactory level of return for its shareholders in order to be sustainable.  Fees are established with consideration to our operating budget (league fees, insurance, full and part-time staffing, ice rentals, luxury coach travel, dressing room renovation, and many other related expenses) and anticipated revenue (player registration fees, sponsorship, attendance, and merchandising).

International players will also have to consider additional expenses such as billeting and the league’s requirement for Canadian medical coverage through the league’s provider, while Canadians from outside Centre Wellington will also have to consider billeting expenses, even though they can forgo the additional medical coverage by using their provincial plans.
